STEP Computer Academy is an international educational company that provides computer science education to kids and adults. For kids, there are multiple programs that cover all ages starting from grade 1 that includes topics such as: Programming, Robotics, 3D Printing, 2D/3D Graphics and Design, Game Development, Web Design, Engineering, Algorithms, Cryptography. FIRST STEP TO STEM: Children in grades 1-3 are introduced to STEM topics such as Robotics, Math & Science Fundamentals, 2D & 3D Design, Programming and Physics basics, Logic Skills, and Game Development.
COMPREHENSIVE COMPUTER EDUCATION: Everything that technology can offer for kids in grades 4-6 and 7-9 is covered in this program: Programming, Robotics, Digital Graphics, 3D Modelling and Printing, Web Development, Hardware Design, Game Development.
ALGORITHMS: Are your kids are serious about programming? Then C Programing/Algorithms/Assembler course is the challenge they need. In this class, teens obtain adult-level programming skills to make sure they are prepared for future career in technology. Prerequisite for this class is being enrolled into Algebra 1.
CRYPTOGRAPHY: Your kids curios about history of cryptography, how block chain works and how people are using cryptocurrency? Welcome to the cryptography course, when kids will learn all the concepts of cryptography. Will learn how to program in SageMath and use it for example when implementing their own block chain. Prerequisite for this class is being enrolled into Algebra 1.
COMPETITIVE ROBOTICS: This course is built around the excitement of a competition Robotics project. Students will be presented with an engineering challenge and work as a team to develop a solution. Children ages 9-14 will learn basic programming, how to build LEGO Mindstorms robots, and use of sensors. Our Robotics teams will be competing in the 2018 FLL Regional Tournament.
ART AND DESIGN: Budding artists ages 9-13 will explore Fundamentals of Drawing, Digital Graphics, Design Theory, and more. This is a hands-on class, using both paper & easels and tablets & computers.
